Used in the Ski Mountaineering World Cup – and the successor to the Ultimate 65, the original ski running powerhouse.
This ski running powerhouse is currently used in the Ski Mountaineering World Cup.
The Atomic Backland UL 65 is a flyer – the lightest, fastest ski in our new series for Endurance Touring. Successor to the Ultimate series, Backland UL is designed to give you a competitive edge on the way up and great stability downhill. We’ve optimized the overall construction: adding a slim AT Tip 2.0 that cuts like a blade through chop and crud, with a cut-out tip for fixing skins quickly during races. And inside it features Fiber Grid, a new layer that makes the ski more durable. That’s on top of the Ultra Light Woodcore which means the ski weighs in at 680g – one of the lightest ski running skis on the market. It’s also Carbon Powered with two ultra-lightweight carbon inserts, giving you stability and better power transfer to the snow on the downhill.
