A super stylish all-mountain ski for girls aged 8-11, the Atomic Backland Girl 140-150 is capable of taking them anywhere on the mountain.
A foam core that´s agile and dampens vibrations - for effortless skiing.
Almost no rocker in the tail, so more of the ski's edge remains in contact with the snow giving better grip and stability.
The Atomic Backland Girl 140-150 is a stylish all-mountain girls’ ski designed for piste, powder and everything in between. Unlike many other junior skis, it’s not a system ski – ambitious young skiers can put any binding they want on it – even a touring binding. It has a wide and solid footprint that provides optimum floatation in softer snow and makes it easy to initiate turns on the groomers. The Backland Girl 140-150 is ideal for young female riders with enough experience to start exploring off-piste, in a size they can still manage to ski with confidence and control.
Precisely tuned edges are an important part of ski performance. A blunt edge cannot penetrate the snow surface and slides through a turn. An edge that is too sharp digs into the snow surface and makes for an unstable ride. Our alpine skis are groomed with a side edge angle of 87.0° for more intuitive handling, easier skiing and better grip on hard snow and ice.
All skis from our factory are delivered with steel edges that have been carefully machined with a precise 1.3° base edge bevel that lightly lifts the ski edge off the snow for easy turning while maintaining edge grip and tracking throughout the turn.
