The Atomic Redster S9 FIS W is a thoroughbred slalom ski for female racers. Full Sidewall construction, Ultra TI Powered laminate, and a high-grade Woodcore gives this ski its superior torsional rigidity, high-performance flex, and efficient energy transfer. The Redster S9 FIS W holds up when the ruts are deep, and the stakes are high. The ski's waist and length create reliable edge grip so that you can hold your line through every gate – the ultimate ski for female World Cup, Continental Cup, and FIS Slalom racers.
Precisely tuned edges are an important part of ski performance. A blunt edge cannot penetrate the snow surface and slides through a turn. An edge that is too sharp digs into the snow surface and makes for an unstable ride. Our alpine skis are groomed with a side edge angle of 87° for more intuitive handling, easier skiing and better grip on hard snow and ice.
All skis from our factory are delivered with steel edges that have been carefully machined with a precise 0.5° base edge bevel that microscopically lifts the ski edge off the snow for easy turning while providing excellent edge grip and aggressive tracking throughout the turn.
