Atomic Backland 65 UL is a ski running dynamo built with ultralight Carbon Fiberglass construction. Developed in close cooperation with Atomic’s World Cup team.
Carbon Fiberglass composite layers produce an ultralight ski that offers ultimate stability and power for highly dynamic performance.
Incredibly lightweight Poplar and Caruba wood keeps Backland’s weight down but without compromising downhill performance.
HRZN Tech adds 10% more surface area at your ski tips. For awesome floatation in powder plus less tip deflection and better tracking through chop.
World Cup-level grinding means less friction and more speed.
Developed in close cooperation with Atomic’s World Cup ski mountaineering athletes, Backland 65 UL is the ultimate speed machine. Flying uphill and charging downhill, its ultralight construction is designed to give you a competitive advantage on the way up. Constructed with ultralight Carbon Fiberglass and the Ultra Light Woodcore, Backland 65 UL is the lightest touring ski Atomic offers. The Full Cap construction features an optimized rocker to make the ski super stable and the HRZN Tech tip busts through chop and crud with authority. The cut-out notch in the tip allows for fixing skins quickly during races while our World Cup base finish makes it fly. This is the ski of choice for Atomic’s World Cup Skimo Team.
