The full-fat Backland FR with more surface area for deep storm days.
The Atomic Warden 13 MNC DT is our top Warden binding with toolless adjustment added in. MNC stands for Multi Norm Certified, which means it works with all types of soles – DIN, Touring and Walk To Ride (WTR) – and fits every normed boot in the market. It has an Oversized Platform and U-Power Toe – a super-wide platform that provides extra lateral power transmission, steering, flex and dampening. It’s also 30% wider than comparable bindings, so works particularly well with progressive wider skis like Vantage for all-mountain skiing. And with a sliding toe and heel in this version you don’t need tools to mount your bindings – or adjust them up the mountain.
Blends an ABS sidewall construction with a revolutionary across-the-ski (horizontal) rocker to add 10% more surface area in tip and tail. This delivers less tip deflection and better tracking through chop and crud, without adding any swing weight – making it the best design yet for powder.
An ultra-lightweight carbon insert that runs the length of the ski like a stabilizing backbone. This provides exceptional agility and edge hold with no extra weight.
Made from Poplar wood, this core optimizes the ski's weight without sacrificing any shock absorption or stability.
Atomic Backland FR is the top model in our Backland FR range, created with freeride pros like Sage Cattabriga-Alosa. It has a 117 mm waist, Carbon Backbone and Powder Rocker profile. It also features revolutionary HRZN Tech in the tip for more surface area and even better floatation. It’s stiff enough for aggressive skiing on deep storm days or shredding Big Mountain spines. It also delivers on harder snow thanks to the camber underfoot. And we’ve made Backland FR light without sacrificing stability thanks to a Light Woodcore. This also makes them awesome Freeride Touring skis: great for reaching those best spots – boot packing or skinning.
